Kyla King, MA, LMHC
Therapist and Coach
Kyla (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. Her specialties are art therapy and animal-assisted therapy. For the last 6 years she has worked with children, teens, and adults who have diagnoses and symptoms of ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Her work leads clients to develop organic ways to increase self-advocacy skills, improve executive functioning, and reduce anxiety.
Prior to coming to FPSK, Kyla worked in inpatient mental health care with people experiencing mental health crises. She has also worked as a case manager in outpatient behavioral health. She is assisted by Pepper, a 3-year-old Catahoula and Rat Terrier mix, for animal-assisted therapy. Pepper can be crated or included in the session, as determined by the client, each session. For folks with severe allergies, it is important to note that Pepper is typically in the room.
