Assessment
We offer a variety of assessment services at FPSK. Depending on the referral question, evaluations may include measures to assess general ability (intelligence), academic skills, visuospatial abilities, perceptual skills, language functions, learning and memory, attention and concentration, complex problem solving and executive functioning, adaptive behavior skills, and social/emotional functioning.
Neuropsychological Assessment
A neuropsychological assessment focuses on differential diagnosis related to a broad range of disorders that may be caused by neurological injury or altered brain function, including concussions, mild traumatic brain injuries, stroke, and dementia. In certain instances, neuropsychological assessments are also used to diagnose ADHD, complex learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Psychoeducational Assessment
Psychoeducational evaluations are designed to rule out learning disabilities and attention disorders in school aged children, adolescents, and adults. Administered by skilled school psychologists, these evaluations assist students and their families to identify and implement effective teaching strategies and academic support at school and in the community.
Kindergarten Early Entrance Assessment
These evaluations assess cognitive, academic, and social emotional readiness for young students who are being considered for early entrance to kindergarten.
